Just a Note

Dear Junior parents,
The semester has finished and the Junior students have accomplished so much. They have been involved with their English classes, met their friends, done their homework, participated in so many different activities, and visited the Resource Centers with the American Space environment.
Junior 1, 2, 3, and 4 / Junior Light 2 teachers and I have the pleasure to share a few of the projects in which the students were involved. Just click on your children's teacher's name to see what they have done. You are also invited to check the projects other groups have developed.
We are all so glad to be part of your children's development.

To celebrate Children's Day, Thomas invited the students to attend three different plays. Check them out.

Mini-Chef Workshop

Yummy! Yummy! Italian fudge - Palha Italiana - was the recipe of our Mini-Chef Workshop. So delicious!

We also played games to get acquainted with the ingredients and procedure vocabulary.

Our craft was a woodpecker. Hooray!

A Field Trip to the Planetarium

These Junior students from Taguatinga, Águas Claras, Asa Sul, Asa Norte, Sudoeste, and Lago Sul had a lot fun during their first field trip to the Planetarium in Brasília. They learned a lot about our solar system by visiting the exhibition and watching a great movie - all in English!

Class J25 - Lunch today is pizza!

Caros leitores,

Em Águas Claras, o semestre foi sensacional. Nem todos se conheciam quando as aulas começaram e adorei assistir como amizades foram se formando. Um dos assuntos que estudamos no Junior 2 foi comida. Os alunos fizeram uma pizza de papel e praticaram o conteúdo, tanto o vocabulário quanto a estrutura gramatical (like, don't like, lunch today is...). Eles precisaram descrever os ingredientes da pizza e dizer o que tinha para o almoço. Também coloco aqui a foto do dia que comemoramos o Halloween. As crianças gostaram muito de ir fantasiadas à escola. Espero que gostem. Have fun!

Class J20F - Lunch today is pizza!

Caros leitores,

O semestre com esse pequeno grupo da sexta-feira foi maravilhoso. Tivemos aulas divertidas e os alunos aprenderam várias coisas novas. Um dos conteúdos trabalhados em sala foi sobre comida. Para praticar, os alunos  fizeram uma pizza de papel e praticaram um diálogo semelhante à história do livro "Qual é o almoço hoje?". Também registrei o dia do Halloween, já que eles se divertiram muito com suas fantasias. O  nosso semestre deixará saudades e eu só tenho a elogiar agradecer a participação de todos os alunos. Espero que gostem das fotos. Have fun!
